Our driver will be waiting right outside the passenger exit.

He will be holding a sign with your name on it.

Guatemala City airport is not very big. There is only one passenger exit and it usually takes 30 to 60 minutes to go through customs and collect your bags. Our driver will wait for you.

It depends on the type of transfers. We request total payment with Paypal for airport pick-ups and shared shuttles.

Multiple day trips require a 30% deposit and the rest in cash upon the first transfer.

Drop-off to the airport can be paid in cash to the driver.

Border fees must be paid in person and can there fore never be included in the price.

Between Guatemala and Honduras it is about $4 pp.

If you book a private transfer stops can be made whenever you want for meal or bathroom breaks. Or if you want to take pictures etc.

But long detours can not be accepted.

This depends if you take a private or shared transfer. Ask us what is possible.

You can book and pay for private transfers with credit card.

FAQ La Ceiba Shuttle

Toyota Hiace High Roof. 15 seats with A/C and reclining seats.

The schedule is:

From Antigua or Rio Dulce to La Ceiba on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays*

From La Ceiba to Rio Dulce, Antigua or Guatemala City on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays*

*We do need a minimum number of passengers in order to confirm departure.

The bus leaves Antigua at 2 am and arrives at the La Ceiba ferry terminal at around 3:30 pm.

 

Yes under normal circumstances the bus arrives in Ceiba in time to make the ferry to Utila or Roatan.

We leave La Ceiba after the ferry from Utila arrives around 8 am.

The only pick-up points are:

7:45 am – 8 am : Ferry terminal (only waiting for the ferry from Utila not the ferry from Roatan)

8:10 -8:30 am : Dunkin Donuts Plaza Santa Monica

8:20 – 8:40 am : Airport in La Ceiba

Yes, but only from Guatemala to Honduras (not from Honduras to Guatemala)

The price is about $3-4 pp.

You can pay this in Quetzales (Q 30) or Lempiras (Lps 60).

Yes, there are two short stops for meals.

Around 7:30 am right before La Ruidosa for about 15 minutes.

We get to the border between 8:30 and 9 am.

Between 11:30 and 12 another break after San Pedro Sula at a restaurant called Tio Domo for about 20 minutes (a bit more if we get there early).

There is not one exact answer for this question:

We can confirm departure any time we reach the minimum number of passengers.

We stop taking reservations 0 minutes before departure or when the maximum number of passengers is reached.

No, we only take cash.

For the trip TO La Ceiba you can pay in our office in Antigua (at least one day before departure).

For the trip FROM La Ceiba, you can pay in cash to the driver (only Quetzales or USD). If you do not have any of those currencies, you can use an ATM after we cross the border into Guatemala.
